God’s Plans for His Church: An Introduction Part 1: The Power of the Gospel
1 Timothy 1:1 (September 02, 2018 - Chris LeDuc)

In part one of four of our introduction to 1 Timothy, we look at the Gospel that Paul believed and preached to Timothy, and to the church in Ephesus were Timothy was serving. This is the Gospel of salvation by faith in Christ Jesus, and in particular we examined justification and regeneration.

God’s Plans for His Church: An Introduction Part 2: The Plan of the Gospel
1 Timothy 1:1 (September 09, 2018) - Chris LeDuc)

In part two of four of the introduction to 1 Timothy, we look at the eternal plan of the Gospel that Paul believed and preached to Timothy, and to the church in Ephesus were Timothy was serving. In this message we'll look at the “perfections” or “attributes” of God, and how they help us to understand God’s eternal decree or plan of salvation.

God’s Plans for His Church: An Introduction Part 3: The Person of the Gospel
1 Timothy 1:1 (September 16, 2018) - Chris LeDuc)

In part three of our introduction to 1 Timothy, we look at a third presupposition found in 1 Timothy 1:1, The Person of the Gospel. In this message we look at the person of Christ, as well as our union with Christ. As Christians, our identity is “in Christ,” so it is essential that we know who He is, and what it means to be “in Him.”

God’s Plans for His Church: An Introduction Part 4: The Provision of the Gospel
1 Timothy 1:1 (September 23, 2018) - Chris LeDuc

God’s Plans for His Church: An Introduction Part 5: The Provision of the Gospel
1 Timothy 1:1 (September 30, 2018) - Chris LeDuc

In this message pastor LeDuc looks at the spiritual gift of Apostle, seeing that this gift iis no longer given today, and thus there has been a cessation of at least one spiritual gift that was given in the first century, but no longer given. This is the foundation of cessationism - the acknowledgment that God no longer gives Apostles, and if you believe that then you are a cessationist. Now, the question that needs to be answered is, "what else has ceased?"
